The client wanted a tall, compact barn-like building that stood out from the majority of houses around it.

The timber triple glazed windows were surplus to requirements on another project, and incorporated into the design.

The house is designed and detailed to be as close to zero energy as possible with the budget constraints. Internally the client wanted a vibrant, individual aesthetic which included green (living) walls in the shower, custom engineered staircase, built in hidden joinery and reclaimed items.
